In celebration of the 100th anniversary of IUPAC and the International Year of the Periodic Table, IUPAC and IYCN announce the creation of a Periodic Table of Younger Chemists. Beginning in July 2018 and ending in July 2019 at the World Chemistry Congress and IUPAC General Assembly, we will honor a diverse group of 118 outstanding younger chemists from around the world.
The deadline for this first 8 elements of IUPAC's Periodic Table of Younger Chemists is extended until 11th June. So do not hesitate and use your opportunity to nominate a candidate. All nominations are to be submitted via the on-line form.

Criteria for Nomination
Nominees must be 40 years of age or younger and meet the following criteria:
One of the following:

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in chemistry or a related field

Holds an undergraduate or graduate degree in chemistry or in a related field

Currently working in the field of chemistry or a related field
And actively working in one or more of the following areas:

Scientific topics relevant to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (link)

Increasing the public appreciation and understanding of chemistry

Fostering diversity in the chemical enterprise

Improving chemistry and science education for students
